In South Africa, 65% of all children live in poverty

Feed a child, nourish a mind. On February 10, 2014, food bloggers are donating their posts to support The Lunchbox Fund. We are raising money provide a daily meal to 100 South African schoolchildren for one year.

Our Goal

Our goal is to raise $5,000.

Fundraising will take place on Causes from 2/10-2/16, and the funding will provide a daily, nourishing meal to 100 schoolchildren for an entire year

Never donated a post before? Read more about our giving model here.

The Story of The Lunchbox Fund

The Lunchbox Fund has been fostering education via nutrition since 2005. It provides daily meals for orphaned and impoverished children in townships and rural areas in South Africa.

This is often their only meal of the day.

Because this meal requires children to be in the classroom to receive it, they are not only receiving the nutrition their bodies are desperate for, but an education that will help each child reach their full potential.
