The sushi restaurant in my neighborhood always brings you a little bowl of bean sprouts and cucumber after you've been seated for dinner. When I  learned about this week's Food Matters Project recipe, I decided to model it after the restaurant version and took a few liberties because I was making homemade sushi for the Academy Awards and thought it would go nicely as an appetizer. Also, I just wasn't in the mood for beef this week, but I can just imagine how good it would be if you make the original recipe.
